What We Do

The Missouri Association of Crisis Negotiators began as the Eastern Missouri Association of Crisis Negotiators in 2011 when it was established by the St Charles County Regional Crisis Negotiation Team.  In the years since, the membership expanded to include a fully functional board of directors and was accepted in 2014 as a member of the National Council of Negotiation Associations.

In addition to the executive members, the board of directors includes regional representatives from each of the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop areas.  Click here to find a representative in your area.

The association conducts an annual 3-day, state-wide conference, and multiple 1-week crisis/negotiation courses and regional 1-day training events each year.  Since 2013, MACN has conducted an annual training competition involving agencies from throughout the state and surrounding states.  Click here to to register for the 2018 training competition now!

Our goals are straight forward. We want to improve members' skills through quality training, technology-focused information exchange, and through networking with experienced negotiators. We want to establish and maintain a close working relationship among negotiators throughout the State of Missouri.
